AN-6044 Pop Suppression Techniques Using Analog Switches

چکیده

Consumers expect portable devices packed with more and more features to maintain excellent battery life and small form factor. One trend is the integration of multiple music functions into a single device; such as the addition of digital music players into cell phones. With this migration to all-inone phone/MP3 player combination, analog switches are often employed to allow multiple sources to share a single speaker or vice versa. Due to the nature of standard ACcoupled systems, there is the possibility for a “pop” noise when switching audio signals.

A 0.6 V Supply CMOS Amplifier Using Noise Reduction Technique of Autozeroing and Chopper Stabilization

1. Introduction Recently, sensor chips using mixed-signal CMOS technology have been applied for sensing and monitoring biological functions [1], [2]. A low-noise amplifier is one of the key circuits for detecting small level signals in the sensor chip. Extremely low voltage operation is required for wireless systems using such new energy sources as solar batteries or bio-batteries. However, wit...

Low-voltage Analog CMOS Filter Design

Design techniques for low-voltage analog TUters In CMOS technologies are discussed. The use of OTA-C implementation techniques towards low power supply voltages (3 V and below) requires special source degeneration and input signal folding techniques. Firstly, design techniques to achieve Pull CMOS continuous-time filters with low distortlon (Total harmonic distortion c -50 dB) and low power sup...

Reliable Circuit Techniques for Low-Voltage Analog Design in Deep Submicron Standard CMOS: A Tutorial

We present in this paper an overview of circuit techniques dedicated to design reliable low-voltage (1-V and below) analog functions in deep submicron standard CMOS processes. The challenges of designing such low-voltage and reliable analog building blocks are addressed both at circuit and physical layout levels. State-ofthe-art circuit topologies and techniques (input level shifting, bulk and ...

Serrodyne Frequency Translator Using a 360 ' Analog CPW MMIC Phase Shifter

A 360" analog CPW MMIC phase shifter is presented for the first time. The compact MMIC employs eight multilayer 3 dB quadrature couplers and was fabricated using low cost GaAs foundry processing techniques. The phase shifter was required to implement a narrow band serrodyne frequency translator at 24 GHz. With an arbitrary, small-shift, frequency translation of +5 KHz, the measured results demo...

Sensitivity Analysis of Fiber-Reinforced Lamina Micro-Electro-Mechanical Switches with Nonlinear Vibration Using a Higher Order Hamiltonian Approach

In this paper, the nonlinear free vibration of fiber-reinforced lamina micro-switches is investigated, and a sensitivity analysis (SA) is given. The switches are modeled as solid rectangular beams consisting of an isotropic matrix with transversely and longitudinally isotropic reinforcements, incorporating a higher order Hamiltonian approach. An SA of the proposed micro-switch is presented by c...
